Our mission is to provide a social network for gamers to get together and enjoy video games locally in Cornwall. To apply for membership please complete the application form, members must be aged 20+, maximum age 97.
Regular gaming get togethers
We meet up almost every week in Penzance to play and discuss games both old and new. We have a fantastic new venue on Penzance promenade with a fully licensed bar, perfect for refreshment between intense bouts of Mario Kart Wii in the games room.
It’s all about the multiplayer
Yep, we don’t sit huddled around a single screen watching somebody play World of Warcraft, it’s all about getting together and playing together, split-screen, same screen or with portable consoles. We find this is the best way to keep everybody entertained, four player simultaneous games are a favourite for making sure all the old boys get a turn during the evening. With the current generation of consoles this leans more towards the Wii, but feel free to bring along your Gamecube (and Kongas), Dreamcast and N64 for some dedicated four player action in a more retro style!
National competitions and gaming road trips
Since it’s impromptu inception during the summer of 2006 we have grown in numbers and ambition, last year was a vintage year including a trip up country to enter the ‘Best British Nintendo Gamer’ competition. Two of our members got through and claimed a place in the final! Meeting Charles Martinet (the voice of mario) was superb, you can see some of the pictures and a video clip here.
